Packaging made using offcuts from production
Here’s why our fabric packaging is important to us. We have spent a lot of time developing our beautiful new organic cotton ranges, which launched a few weeks ago. We knew our new ranges were luxurious, beautiful and incredibly cosy. We knew they have been made in the right way as strict environmental and social criteria have to be adhered to as part of their Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification. We also knew we had to make sure our packaging was a way we could seek to minimise our environmental footprint as well.
What happens to the offcuts from our products in the production process? As with most textile production, they’re left on the floor to be swept away and be put to waste. How could we creatively reuse these offcuts in a way that would give them a meaningful new life? How could we use them to create something of environmental value? Upcycling! Upcycle them for our packaging.
Our fabric organic cotton packaging was born. These beautiful bags, with our Linen Quarter logo a provide a more eco-friendly packaging alternative. Our duvet cover sets come in the packaging bag style featured in this image, with the ties to close them on the lip of the bag. Our fitted sheets and pillow case sets are packaged in a rectangular open fabric bag, with a tie at the top to keep them enclosed.
Our packaging is reusable for you in your home and when you are out and about. You can use them over and over again. They are great for storage. Examples of how they can be used include storage for bed linen, shoes, toiletries, laundry, or you can even use them as a gym, travel or grocery bag. There are numerous ways you can be creative with these.
We love seeing your photos! Please show us the creative ways you have used our packaging by tagging us in your Instagram posts @linenquarteruk and #linenquarteruk or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will share our favourites!
